$8.8M in Special Food Assistance Benefits to be Distributed to Connecticut Families with Young Children

The Connecticut Department of Social Services, in collaboration with the Connecticut State Department of Education, has announced that $8.8 million in special food assistance benefits will be distributed to the families of 57,313 children under age 6. These children are enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the benefits will be disbursed on Sunday, August 13.
