We built Vote.CTNewsJunkie.com as a public service – a way to provide candidates with a tool to inform voters about where they stand on key issues facing Connecticut.

We also built it to make it easier for their constituents to learn more about their candidates, endorse their favorites, and share their responses on social media. Every candidate has received multiple email invitations to participate.

In the interest of time, we asked candidates to complete their profiles and also to answer at least 4 of the 8 questions in order for us to share their responses. Candidates who did not respond, or who only filled in their profiles, are not linked below. Our staff and contributors produced two sets of questions, one for the congressional candidates, and another for the state House and Senate candidates.

As of Sunday night, we ended up with 54 completed surveys this year – many of which provided thoughtful, detailed responses.

We know that more than 591,000 Connecticut residents have already voted by absentee, but for those of you who haven’t we hope the completed surveys below are a helpful resource. Click on the names or the election links to see the completed surveys. There’s plenty to read! And candidates were also encouraged to include their campaign videos as well as links to their social media accounts. And feel free to use the green “endorse” button at the bottom of each candidate’s page.
