Travelers who spend more than 24 hours in Rhode Island will have to quarantine for 14 days once they get back to Connecticut.

Rhode Island is the first New England state to make the tri-state quarantine list.

Any travelers who are unable to quarantine may present proof of a negative coronavirus test instead.

There are currently 34 states and Puerto Rico on the travel advisory, States are added to Connecticut’s travel advisory when they experience an average of 10 new cases for every 100,000 residents or when they record a positivity rate of 10% or higher.

Rhode Island itself has a mandatory 14-day quarantine for anyone coming to Rhode Island from any state with a 5% or greater positivity rate.
