Gov. Lamont will be joined today by Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz and also First Selectman Rudy Marconi, R-Ridgefield, and State Rep. Jane Garibay, a Democrat representing Windsor and Windsor Locks, both of whom recently recovered from COVID-19.

We have been crunching numbers and have also put together an interactive chart of statewide hospitalizations associated with COVID-19, showing that the rate has flattened and begun declining. The chart is available here and also below.

The IHME’s data said the statewide peak for COVID-19 was April 20 at 204 deaths. Under “containment strategy” the IHME chart suggests that “after June 9, 2020, relaxing social distancing may be possible with containment strategies that include testing, contact tracing, isolation, and limiting gathering size.”

Here’s the link to our page with the IHME chart. (You will need to selected “Connecticut” from the pulldown.)
