We got some advice regarding the $600 supplemental payments that many of you are hoping to see soon. First, the FAQ for the federal unemployment programs is here, and the page is being updated quite often, so check it periodically.

Key update: “Once you begin receiving increased weekly payments, you can expect a subsequent lump sum payment with all retroactive weeks within the next two weeks. This retroactive payment will date back to all eligible weeks that were filed since the FPUC program was enacted on March 29, 2020.”

The IHME’s data said the statewide peak for COVID-19 was April 20 at 204 deaths. Under “containment strategy” the IHME chart suggests that “after June 9, 2020, relaxing social distancing may be possible with containment strategies that include testing, contact tracing, isolation, and limiting gathering size.”

Here’s the link to our page with the IHME chart. (You will need to selected “Connecticut” from the pulldown.)
