A Christmas Story, the timeless tale of 8-year-old Ralphie Parker’s quest for a Red Ryder BB gun, will be playing at the Bushnell’s Mortensen Hall November 24-26 for five performances only.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra light up Mohegan Sun Arena
For over 20 years, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s annual holiday tour has been widely regarded as a must-see concert experience. The rock group are once again bringing their extravagant light and laser show to Connecticut, making a stop at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, November 26.
Their current tour marks the first without founder Paul O’Neill, who passed away earlier this year. However, the progressive rock group remains as impressive an act as ever with their heart-pounding musical arrangements coupled with stunning production value. Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The Ghosts of Christmas Eve will be at Mohegan Sun Arena November 26 for two performances at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Mannheim Steamroller roll through Connecticut
One of the most successful artists of all time makes their way to Foxwoods Resort and Casino just in time for the holidays. Mannheim Steamroller performs at the Grand Theater at Foxwoods for one night only on December 3.
Under the creative direction of founder Chip Davis, the influential new-age group have released over a dozen holiday albums, eight of which have gone on to reach multi-Platinum sales certification, and produced memorable renditions of holiday favorites like “Deck The Halls,” “Carol of the Bells,” and “Auld Lang Syne.”
The fun begins at 7:30 p.m.
UConn Women take on Notre Dame in Hartford
Following a disappointing end to their season in last year’s NCAA Final Four, which snapped their record 111-game winning streak, the UConn Women’s basketball team is ready to prove they are the best in the country. They’ll face their biggest challenge of the 2017-18 season December 3 when the Notre Dame Fighting Irish invade Hartford.
Muffet McGraw’s no. 6 ranked squad swept the ACC last year and compiled an impressive 33-2 record, giving them confidence heading into the meeting.
However, the Huskies will rely on the talent and experience of standout trio Katie Lou Samuelson, Napheesa Collier and Gabby Williams, not to mention their home-court advantage. Tip-off is 4 p.m. at the XL Center.

Pentatonix take over Mohegan Sun Arena
Grammy-winning a cappella group Pentatonix are bringing the holiday cheer to Mohegan Sun Arena on the Pentatonix Christmas Tour. The five-piece vocal group have earned global recognition for their refreshing ability to breathe new life into radio hits, particularly when it comes to their two holiday albums, each of which achieved Platinum sales certification.
Audiences will marvel at their silky smooth harmonies and vocal percussion in both traditional holiday tunes and original tracks. Pentatonix will perform two shows at Mohegan Sun on December 9-10, both of which begin at 7 p.m.
