If you are one of our email subscribers or you listen to WDRC AM, you might already be aware of this — CTNewsJunkie is now on the radio.
Last week we started producing two items for WDRC AM each day — an afternoon/evening promo, and a morning newscast.
This radio experiment is an effort to grow CTNewsJunkie’s business into the broadcast medium, so bear with us as we get rolling on this new project.
We couldn’t make this happen without the cooperation of our friends at The Talk of Connecticut on WDRC AM, and nor could we do this without the help of some very talented radio news professionals, including Brian Parker at OnTheHORN.com (the Hartford Online Radio Network), former WTIC News Director Dana Whalen, Joan Franzino, and Brian Scott-Smith. These are the folks who are helping us to turn our news stories into audio for radio and podcast listeners.
These newscasts are a quick rundown of what we’ve covered in more depth on the website, and are a good way to get caught up fast each morning if you’re away from your computer.
Our newscast also has just become available on iTunes, so if you’re not able to hear us on WDRC AM in and around Hartford, Torrington, Waterbury, or Meriden, or if you just prefer to use a podcast app of some kind, you can find us on iTunes by searching for “ctnewsjunkie.” Or just click here.
You can also subscribe to our podcasts (for free) and have them automatically downloaded to your phone or tablet before you get into your car each morning. This is the best way to help us grow our listenership and revenue, so feel free to subscribe and tell your friends!
