Another 89 state employees received their pink slips Monday.
The latest group worked at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington. They primarily worked with Department of Correction inmates.
That brings the total number of executive branch layoffs up to 351.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy has estimated that the state needs to shed 2,500 positions.
The Judicial Branch also began layoffs last week serving pink slips to 126 of its employees, mostly in the area of juvenile detention.
