Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s trip to Washington was delayed by weather Tuesday.
Malloy, who will take the oath of office for a second term as governor on Wednesday, planned to attend a meeting with at the White House with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. The meeting was organized by the National Governors Association’s executive committee and it was closed to the press.
Malloy’s office said the governor’s flight “was delayed to the point that he would not have been able to attend this meeting.” Instead, he stays in Hartford Tuesday.
