Though press releases and prepared statements from parents about this week’s rally in New Haven for education reform were absent the phrase “charter schools,” the rally’s hosts have that phrase in common.
The rally’s host is a newly announced coalition called “For Every Child” — with a mission statement of providing access for great schools for all children. Organizations in the coalition are either pro-charter political organizations or charter organizations themselves.
The coalition of organizations — which includes the Connecticut Coalition for Achievement Now (ConnCAN), Families for Excellent Schools, Achievement First and the Northeast Charter Network — are holding a rally on the Green Wednesday.
