As of 4 p.m. Thursday, the Connecticut health insurance exchange had enrolled a total of 753 people.
Access Health CT did not say how many of those enrolled in the three private insurance carrier plans or Medicaid. Both are offered through the exchange.
In the first three days of operation, the exchange received 82,939 visitors to its website and answered 5,094 phone calls.
Open enrollment runs through March 31, 2014, but in order to receive coverage starting Jan. 1, residents will have to enroll by Dec. 15.
In an effort to help speed up the process, Access Health CT has released a checklist of items consumers will need to enroll: http://learn.accesshealthct.com/how-to-enroll/
The list includes the following:
—Birthdates
—Social Security Numbers (or document numbers for legal immigrants)
—Citizenship or immigration status
—Tax returns for previous years
—Employer and income info (pay stubs, W-2 forms)
—Policy Numbers For any current health insurance and information about employer-sponsored coverage you or someone in your household is eligible for.
There are several ways to sign up for a plan, but the two most convenient are checking out the website www.AccessHealthCT.com or calling the hotline at 1-855-805-4325.
