AT&T announced that the company’s regional vice president for external and legislative affairs, John Emra, will be its new Connecticut President.
Emra joined the company in his current position in 2001. He worked for AT&T in a consulting role in Washington DC prior to that and has worked in politics for more than two decades.
He is a 1992 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University and serves on a number of boards including CAPA Connecticut, the Connecticut Technology Council, Gateway Community College Foundation, and the Connecticut Economic Research Council (CERC).
AT&T’s prior Connecticut President, Rodney Smith, retired earlier this summer.
