MAY 1, 2012: At 6:58 p.m. EST, Laura Jordan, Donovan’s chief of staff at the capitol, sends a text message to Campaign Manager Josh Nassi to let him know that the Senate calendar includes the RYO legislation. However, the bill never comes up for a vote, and that leaves unanswered questions.

If Donovan or anyone from his office suggested that the RYO bill did not have legs in the House, that could have been enough reason for the Senate to opt not to take up the RYO bill at all, effectively killing it for the session.
