He didn’t tell us ahead of time, but we spotted Gov. Malloy laughing it up on C-SPAN’s coverage of the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. Malloy hobnobbed with celebrities, reporters, and politicos at the event that took place Saturday night. You can see him laughing at the joke about Buzzfeed around the 8:24 mark. Malloy was not the only governor to be spied by C-SPAN: New Jersey’s Gov. Chris Christy was also in the crowd. Check out the president’s speech here and see if you can spot the governor
The Norwich Bulletin’s Ray Hackett says “no” to the state’s plan to sell your electric service. He’s also not happy about AT&T’s efforts to have its phone service deregulated. Read more
House Minority Leader Larry Cafero joined Dennis House on “Face the State” over the weekend. Cafero plans to wait until the end of session (and spring) before making any decisions on a run for governor. He did however spend some time discussing the change in the political landscape since 2010, and took a few jabs at Tom Foley and the governor. He also defended his job at Brown Rudnick.
