With the gun bill signed into law, dozens of special interest groups will descend upon the state Capitol on Thursday to convince lawmakers to restore the funds cut by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy as part of his two-year, $43.8 billion state budget.

The Connecticut Hospital Association will hold a press conference at 11 a.m. to discuss the $550 million in cuts to the state’s hospitals, and charter school advocates will hold a press conference at 10:15 a.m. to ask that a delay in funding be restored.

The hospital press conference will be held in room 1B of the Legislative Office Building and the charter school rally will be held on the north steps of the state Capitol.
