This month’s Rising Star Breakfast sponsored by the MetroHartford Alliance will feature a discussion on the Supreme Court’s 5-4 decision on President Barack Obama’s health care plan.
Oz Griebel, president of the MetroHartford Alliance, said the decision to host a panel on the topic of health care came out of a strategic planning exercise.
He doesn’t know if Tuesday’s hour long discussion will clear up any confusion over the law, but it goes without saying that the decision has widespread implications for residents and the health care industry in the state of Connecticut.
The panelists include Kevin Counihan, the new CEO of Connecticut’s Insurance Exchange Board, J. Bruce Boisture, of counsel for Day Pitney, and Theodore Tucci, a partner in Robinson and Cole.
The discussion begins 8 a.m. Tuesday, July 10 at the Bushnell Theater, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford. Admission is $15 for members and $30 for non-members.
