First Lady Cathy Malloy was pulled over this weekend and cited for not wearing her seatbelt, according to Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s Senior Adviser Roy Occhiogrosso.
Mrs. Malloy is expected to pay the ticket this week, he said. The fine for not wearing a seatbelt in Connecticut is $92.
The Hartford Police Department’s “Click-It-Or-Ticket” campaign runs through June 3.
State Police reported that it nabbed 978 drivers for seatbelt violations this Memorial Day weekend. It’s unclear how many Hartford Police may have given out.
But Mrs. Malloy isn’t the only one to receive a ticket since Mr. Malloy was elected governor in 2010.
Last July when he was in New Haven, Malloy received a parking ticket after a visit to the Quinnipiack Club.
