Attorney General George Jepsen and Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway couldn’t let their governors have all the fun betting on the UConn-Kentucky matchup in the NCAA college basketball Final Four. Jepsen and Conway decided to make their own wager on Saturday’s game.

Jepsen bet dozens of Connecticut oysters on UConn, while Conway bet a Meacham Country ham.

“The only thing smoother than a Mystic oyster is a Kemba Walker jump shot,” said Jepsen.

Conway, meanwhile, may be getting the hot sauce ready. “Personally, I think Mystic oysters would go nicely with a UK victory,” he said.

The winner of Saturday’s game advances to the tournament final on Monday.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is betting UConn ice cream against a Kentucky ham wagered by Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear on the men and Munson’s chocolate in a wager with Indiana Gov. Mitch McDaniels on the women’s game against Notre Dame.
