Jeff Goldberg will be signing copies of his new book, “Bird and the Buzzer: UConn, Notre Dame, and a Women’s Basketball Classic,” this week in West Hartford and Madison.

Goldberg is an occasional contributing sports columnist for CTNewsJunkie and a former Courant sportswriter. He covered the University of Connecticut women’s basketball team from 2001 to 2006 and is the only writer to cover all 70 games of UConn’s winning streak from 2001 to 2003. “Bird at the Buzzer” is his account of the greatest basketball game in women’s basketball history and is his first book. It was released March 1 and is available here.

Goldberg, who is a West Hartford native and a Hall High School graduate, will sign copies of the book Thursday at 7 p.m. at the West Hartford Public Library and Friday, 7 p.m. at R.J. Julia Independent Book Sellers in Madison.
