Republican Janet Peckinpaugh’s campaign says she has amended her Federal Elections Commission report, which drew the attention of Democratic State Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo earlier this week.
In an emailed statement Peckinpaugh, who is running for Rep. James Spallone’s vacated House seat in Essex, said “Any omission from the reports was clearly an oversight.”
“Criticism of the filing is simply an attempt to distract voters from my opponent’s support for Governor Malloy’s intention to allow local governments to raise taxes,” Peckinpaugh added.
