Outgoing Gov. M. Jodi Rell will host Gov.-elect Dan Malloy for a traditional lunch at the Governor’s Residence prior to the inaugural festivities. But Rell won’t be attending the inauguration itself, a former staffer said Wednesday.
Rell’s former spokeswoman said Rell was not invited to the inauguration.
Roy Occhiogrosso, Malloy’s senior advisor, said Wednesday morning that’s absolutely false.
Occhiogrosso was adamant that she was invited and said the invitation still stands.
