Department of Education Commissioner Mark K. McQuillan announced his resignation Tuesday in a letter to his colleagues, explaining that he reached the decision when he said he “realized that I no longer wanted to do this work and saw all too plainly that the stresses of my job are more than they should be and more than I am willing to accept.” Click here to read that letter.
