With about seven days left in the legislative session the Republican’s deficit clock reappeared in the hallways of the state Capitol.
Sen. Leonard Fasano, R-North Haven, said Wednesday that lawmakers have known about the $734.2 million deficit for more than a year now and have done nothing about it.
“It’s to remind everybody that this is not going away,” Fasano said.
This year’s clock counts down the minutes to midnight May 5. Last year’s deficit clock actually counted down the growing deficit.
