Poll Finds Support For Tax

Last week we polled our readers to find out if they support an increase in the income tax to help close the estimated $8.56 billion budget deficit.

The poll ran Aug. 17-22 and found that 253 respondents, or 76 percent, support an increase in the income tax on those making $600,000 or more a year, while 75 respondents, or 23 percent, would not support that plan.
