
Susan Roberts and Cynthia Hernandez claim they’ve never hurt anybody—even if the state considers them outlaws.
Their offense? Calling themselves “interior designers” without having taken a test to earn that right.
Roberts and Hernandez and their crusading lawyers are trying to convince a federal judge in New Haven that they, and anyone else, should be able to pursue a living choosing mauve walls over gray anyway.
