The legislature’s Democratic majority asked Republican Gov. M. Jodi Rell today in this letter to present a balanced budget, which comes closer to $8.7 billion budget deficit projected by the legislature’s Office of Fiscal Analysis.
Democratic leaders accused Rell of keeping her cuts “secret.”
Rell responded in this terse three sentence letter telling the Democratic majority to pass their budget if they think it’s balanced.
Democratic lawmakers respond back in this letter saying Rell’s response “is not responsive.”
