A memorial reception for former Speaker of the House Irving Stolberg will be held 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Legislative Office Building atrium.

Stolberg, a Democrat, served in the House of Representatives for 22 years. He was known for overseeing the construction of the Legislative Office Building, making the legislative branch a co-equal branch of government on par with the executive branch, and increasing the role of legislative leadership in fundraising for General Assembly candidates. Stolberg died this past February of leukemia.

Airtimes for both the premiere and rebroadcasts will be posted on the Connecticut Network Web site www.ct-n.com.
