This Friday former mayoral candidate Raul DeJesus welcomes the public to a screening of ‘The Youngest Candidate’, a feature length documentary film about his candidacy and those of four other young people running for public office in 2007.
Directed by former Michael Moore assistant Jason Pollock, the film follows two mayoral candidates, DeJesus and Eric Smith, 18, of Hobart, Ind., two 18-year-old city council candidates, Ytit Chauhan of Atlantic City and George Monger of Memphis, and one school board candidate, Tiffany Tupper of Hampton Township, Pa.
The screening at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, will be followed by a panel discussion with both DeJesus and Pollock, who also is a Connecticut native.
The screening will be held at Capitol Community College in two locations: Centinel Hill Hall in the 11th floor auditorium and Degnan Hall, Room 1126.
There will be free parking in the Columbus Boulevard parking lot.
