Green Party candidate Harold Burbank III, who is challenging incumbent Democrat Chris Murphy for the state’s 5th District congressional seat, slammed Murphy for taking campaign contributions from former Gov. John Rowland, who spent time in federal prison on corruption charges.
Burbank, a civil rights attorney and former state assistant attorney general, said he is a staunch critic of Rowland not only for his indictment on the corruption charge, but also for his “baseless attacks on state workers.”
