The state’s top smart-growth “Friend” delivered that message to a state senator Tuesday rather than simply preach to the converted in New Haven.
The exhortation took place at a breakfast at the Graduate Club. It came from Heidi Green, president of an organization called 1,000 Friends of Connecticut.
Green (at right in photo) spoke at the monthly issues breakfast hosted by the Community Loan Fund and backed by TD Banknorth. She came to pitch her organization’s mission: Smart growth.
