House Speaker James Amann, D-Milford, announced today that the House of Representatives will hold a legislative session Wednesday, Dec. 5 to officially close out the current session and adopt a resolution for a special session on criminal justice reforms.
“In order for the state Bond Commission to act on certain matters, the Governor’s office informed us that the Legislature must be out of session,” Amann said in a press release.
‘This also gives us the opportunity to preserve time to act on criminal justice reforms prior to the opening of the 2008 General Assembly in February. We will then be prepared to act as soon as legislation is ready based on the final recommendations of the Judiciary Committee and Governor’s task force which are expected in January,” he said.
