Danbury’s City Council will meet tonight to decide whether to adopt a program that would deputize local police to carry out Federal Immigration duties, including arrests and raids.
Immigrant rights supporters will gather outside City Hall at 7 p.m. to protest the adoption of this program, which they say could easily turn into a witch hunt and force the immigrant community into the shadows.
