U.S. District Court Judge Mark Kravitz is scheduled to hear arguments in U.S. District Court in New Haven at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the preliminary injunction hearing of Avery Doninger who was stripped of her junior class secretary title.

Doninger, a Lewis Mills High School senior, was also prohibited from running as 2008 class secretary. The high school student who gained national renown for asserting her civil rights after administrators removed her from the ballot for Class of 2008 secretary, actually won re-election with a majority of votes this spring.

Her attorney, John Schoenhorn, seeks to have the court overturn the election results.
