Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy told the bloggers on My Left Nutmeg that he would support the winner of the Aug. 8 Democratic primary. Democrats go to the polls Aug. 8 to choose between New Haven Mayor John DeStefano and Malloy and U.S. Senate candidate Ned Lamont and incumbent U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman. Malloy posted a half-story, half-promotional piece on the liberal blog Thursday afternoon regarding net neutrality. “Limiting access to certain areas of the web is a slippery slope down the wrong path. I stand with my fellow Democrats who support the Internet Freedom Preservation Act, and I hope you all do as well,” Malloy wrote. Bloggers focused on Lamont’s challenge of Lieberman, wanted to know if unlike Lieberman, Malloy would support the winner of that primary race. Malloy’s response,” It’s a fair question. Yes, I will support the winner of Senate primary, period.“DeStefano said April 12th in a New Haven Independent article that he too would support the winner of the primary. The Malloy and DeStefano will square off 7:30 p.m. tonight in Bloomfield. Check back later to read about the debate.
