House Democrats tonight successfully pushed through a state contracting reform bill that requires a cost benefit analysis for when the state privatizes services. The entire effort will likely be short lived, though, as the governor’s office indicated it is safe to assume she will veto the bill.

The meat of the debate surrounded a Republican effort to strip that anti-privatization language from the bill. Here are the Democrats who sided with them:Bill Dyson of New Haven, Shawn Johnston of North Grosvernorsdale, Faith McMahon of Bloomfield, Joe Mioli of Westport, and Tom Reynolds of Gales Ferry. And here are a few Democrats who were seen in the building at some point today but missed the amendment vote:Jeffrey Berger of Waterbury, Melody Currey of East Hartford, Minnie Gonzalez of Hartford, and Sandy Nafis of Newington.
