No one can say state Sen. Tom Herlihy (R-Simsbury) lacks metaphorical range.
In the course of arguing against tighter air pollution standards Monday at an Energy and Technology Committee meeting, Herlihy made the point that Connecticut needs to act in concert with other states. Then he reached into his bag of references.“It reminds me of ‘Old School’ and the scene with Will Farrell streaking in front of the pack,” the senator said. “Connecticut shouldn’t be out there with the tightest air quality standards when dirty air comes in from other places.”
